0350: Waddell's Winter Classic, Part 12

The Waddell brothers' Winter Classic series is starting to wind down. Only six more teams remain. But for today, we get a look at their fauxback designs for the Flames and Jets, as selected by commenter MDM. (Technically, MDM was second to comment but the first picked the Oilers, which we've already seen.) I think we've got a couple of really neat looks for these teams.

Let's go with the Coyotes and Sharks (I think those are two of the remaining teams).
The Flames concept is nice and simple, though I think it may be a touch too simple to be a 5-star concept. I literally laughed when I caught the plane in the Jets logo. Very fun throwback touch there. I'm a bit surprised that the Jets Winter Classic throwback isn't some sort of old-Jets reboot, but I like it. I think they're both 4-star concepts.
Really Like the idea behind the jets logo. Not bad looking jerseys either.
Penguins and Islanders
Agreed with the above poster. Having a little biplane in there as opposed to a proper Jet is a super good idea. Well executed. And the colours are great for both of them.

flames sweater is perfect.
i get what you are doing with the jets, but i am not sure it turned out as good as it could have been. the uniform is great. the logo probably needs a couple of tweaks. i think it you gave that one a better go, you would from an "aww, okay, yeah" logo to a "that's just awesome" logo
Flames sweater is basically the Blackhawks (the most iconic jersey in hockey), with their own colours.
Best concepts in this series so far in my opinion and that Jets concept is really cool and something completely different from anything I've seen for concepts which I think is a nice change for once. If I had a chance to suggest which teams to post next week, how about instead of me giving a suggestion, how about you guys surprise us for a change.
The only thing I would suggest is to make the jets' blue circle around the logo a full circle, instead of having the small break. Other than that these are amazing jerseys.
Hey guys! I am really glad that you like these jerseys because they were two of my favorites in the set, and I am also really glad you guys like the Jets' logo. I thought that that would be a fun little touch to have. But also the Calgary jersey does look a lot like the Hawks but thats because it's based off of the old WHA Calgary Cowboys, who seem to have based their jerseys off of the Hawks, but still I feel like it turned out nice. But once again I'm glad that you liked these!
I really like the older plane and old stle leaf on the Jets one.
