0262: Politics Meet Hockey

At last, Election Day is here in the United States so the non-stop inundation of awful political advertising can finally come to a merciful end. But then, the day is still young. So enjoy this. David Paul Kerr's Democrat- and Republican-inspired jerseys were just wacky enough to earn a spot on the site today. (Don't ask me why the Republican jersey feature's Jaromir Jagr's name and number. I have as little insight as you.) Now be a good American and go vote!

The reason that the Jagr nameplate is on the GOP jersey is because it was made for the Dallas Stars competition on GOP. I thought I would be a smart-arse and make a political jersey for it but thought better of it at the last minute.

Might have been a little more clever/funny if the Republican party image was displayed on a Nordiques uniform due to the slight similarity in the two logos :P

Tim Thomas should've been on the Republican jersey!

I heard a story about Jagr keeping a photo of Ronald Regan with him when he was growing up in Czechoslovakia. Maybe that makes some sense in regard to the Jagr Republican jersey.
