Icethetics obtains and leaks the first image of the Senators' alternate sweater. Though grainy, the image appears to show a black jersey with SENS angled upward across the front and a unique new striping pattern under the arms and down the front.

A new splash page appears on the Senators' official web site depicted Daniel Alfredsson from the shoulders up wearing the new black third jersey. Evident are red and white stripes at the shoulders and the primary logo on the shoulders.

The Senators post a teaser image of their alternate sweater on the social networking web site Facebook along with the unveiling date of Saturday, November 22. The image shows a black jersey with black laces at the collar in front of the NHL shield on a red panel. Text on the promotional image reads: "Back in Black. 22-11-08"

Responding to concerns over the "upward angling" of SENS looking like SNES, Icethetics posts conceptual images of how the text might be arranged on the Senators' third jersey.

Howard Berger posts detailed descriptions of all 18 new third jerseys. He says the Senators will undergo a "dramatic change" opting for a black jersey with the word SENS angled upward on the front. He says the sweater will have red side panels and red and white stripes around the sleeves.
