The Penguins unveil their alternate sweaters to fans at Dick's Sporting Goods in Pittsburgh. The new jersey are nearly identical to what the team wore at last season's Winter Classic. Tyler Kennedy, Kris Letang, Alex Goligoski, Paul Bissonnette and Eric Godard are on hand to model their new threads.

An ad on the Penguins' web site indicates Monday, November 3 as the unveiling date for the new third jersey. However, it's believed that this is an error and the unveiling will still take place on Wednesday, November 5.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review learns the Penguins will debut their new third jersey on Saturday, November 15 when they face their Winter Classic opponent, the Buffalo Sabres.

Howard Berger posts detailed descriptions of all 18 new third jerseys. He says the Penguins will bring back the uniform they wore for the Winter Classic back in January.

While speaking about the jerseys for the 2009 Winter Classic, NHL marketing director Brian Jennings explains the Penguins liked their Winter Classic sweater so much, they'll be unveiling a similar design as their third jersey this season.
