Concept Collection 42

Got a handful of concept art to share. No theme on this one, just a mish-mash of some interesting ideas.

Been getting a lot of Panthers concepts, by the way. Thinking the next post may be Florida-themed.

Collection 26: Long Time No See

As I was considering themes for today's concept post, I started wondering which teams have gotten the least love on this page. So I took a look back, and as it turns out, there are five teams that have yet to be represented with concept art in 2011. We'll rectify that today.

Now these teams won't have to feel left out. Coming in a future concept post, some phenomenal redesigns for another often overlooked group — the minor leagues.

That Which is to Come

The AHL's getting one new team and another may be on the move this summer. That's the subject of today's abbreviated concept post.

Glen Cuthbert

The owner of the AHL's new Oklahoma City franchise and Edmonton Oilers affiliate will unveil the team's new name, logo and uniforms today. Until then, Glen put together this concept using a leaked Barons logo and a classic Oilers sweater.

Glen Cuthbert

Speaking of Glen and the Oilers, here's a concept jersey unlike anything we've seen before. Forget copper, go with silver! It's a play off the logos from the era of the Oilers' Todd McFarlane third jersey logo design.

Pete Stern

And lastly, rumors have circulated which place the New Jersey Devils' AHL affiliate back in Albany. With the River Rats moving to Charlotte next season, it leaves a gap, and apparently there are arena issues in Lowell right now. If indeed the club is moved, Pete put together this concept logo.

That's all for today as we all eagerly await the announcement in OKC.
