Ryan's Isles concept is the best orange Isles Jersey I have seen. Usually the orange in Isles concept work is really overstated; it might be the hue, but overall I think a good job was done with the striping to eliminate the shock factor that comes with an orange jersey. Not super sure on the Islanders script on the back, I think the jersey can stand alone without it.
I really like the wild road sweaters, very sharp. Nice to see the third jersey crest as the shoulder patch, rather than the crappy new one the wild put on their jerseys at the beginning of this season.
And if I were to put a bet on the new LA kings jersey set coming out I would put my money on a road uni like that one (hopefully not with black armpits though)
I really like all of these; I'd love to see Minnesota with a wheat-colored jersey as a road and the current 3rd as a home...also love the 90's Canucks logo and colors except maybe make it look less like Florida. Tampa is good except I'd make a few small changes: put the current logo (08-11) on the front, get rid of the white shoulder yoke (make it black), and put the new logo in white and on the shoulder.
That orange jersey would look pretty good with an Oilers logo on it too...I think the ideal jersey lineup for Edmonton would be:
Home: Current blue 80s style
Away: Next seasons white 80s style
Third: The '03 navy blue oil drop jersey or a close variation
Vintage: Orange WHA style
Isles - quality design, though I don't like the small "Islanders" right above the butt. - 5/5
Bolts - I don't know.... something about that looks really nice, but something about it looks really off-putting as well, but I just can't put my finger on it. - 3/5
Nucks - kill it with fire, just let that old design die. - 1/5
Wild - very solid jersey design, no real complaints. - 5/5
Kings - eh.... kind of plain, though it looks nice. - 4/5
The Canucks jersey kinda looks like a Panther jersey w/ the logo stuck on it
I love the 'Nucks look... takes me back to the days of NHL 95 on Sega Genesis...
That's being said, that look deserves better than the Florida/Edmonton Edge BS...
That Islanders jersey is quite nice! Just lose the text on the bottom of the jersey and you've got a winner. The Tampa jersey is kind of "meh", since the NHL doesn't exactly need another text logo front and center of a jersey.
If you're going to bring back the skate, you need to keep the blue, green, and white colours since those represent the city beautifully and happen to be unique around the league... Plus, when you play the Flames as much as the Nucks do, it would get boring WAY too fast with the red, black, and gold.
The Kings jersey is great, but I want to see them keep the crown logo and put the "LA" logo on the shoulder on the new duds. I think that would make a perfect uniform for them imo.
I think the Minnesota one looks pretty cool! One of my faves so far. Great job.
Isles jersey is great - just lose the script on the back bottom.
I'd like to see a Wheat version of the Wild's current Home jerseys moreso than a wheat version of their "third" style.
Kings is nice, but the crown logo would be nicer as someone else pointed out.
Canucks Jersey = No Go.
Tampa Bay also - not a winner in my eyes.
i was never a fan of that canucks logo either. mostly because it took me years to figure out what the hell it actually was
The Canucks skate logo jersey is one of my all time favs. This one is not so good, you can't improve perfection. I hate all the rebook piping, pit patches etc.
I LOVE the Minnesota jersey. I am going nuts with my desire for a new road uniform for my beloved Wild!

Love the orange isles jersey. I own an authentic is rbk's last attept at an orange third. (I feel that jersey is very underrated btw, but that's a matter of opinion ) I don't really mind the "Islanders" script on the back hem just for the fact that I dig the 80's style of the letters and feel it's totally underused and hardly see it any where other than on the side of the helmets . This coming from someone with zero graphic design ability , I would love to see this jersey with "Long Island" in font similar to the current Wild 3rd jerseys. Maybe move the main logo to the shoulder? I know it's been done before on this blog but I think this design would be perfect for those alterations. Good job.
NYI and TB - Not really bad, but nothing to get excited about either.
Vancouver - The skate is the strongest of the crop of weak logos the team has had. I love the little detail that you've removed the white from the logo. Don't like that you stole Florida's design though.
Minnesota - No jersey would make me happier than a wheat colored road jersey. It looks pretty amazing.
LA - I assume that is what their jerseys will look like next season and it is a great look.
the fact that the canucks jersey rips of the ugly striping of the florida panthers disgust me. If my team uses those colors, it will be in the heritage classic. Those jerseys aren't that ugly, yet they are when u kill them with and even uglier modification
The concepts are all done well, props to all these designers for their hard work.....I have to give my respect before i make any criticisms. Looking at this batch I'd say:
Islanders: I tend to find the Islander orange pretty cool as long as it's not drastically over done, which this one isn't. I've said before I think I have a soft spot for the Isle and Oilers color scheme because my youth hockey team in western MASS (Tri-City) wore the Royal Blue/Orange color scheme.
Lightning: Again lots of credit to the designer, no disrespect intended, I personally just don't get that excited by this, maybe the diagonal text is getting a little stale for me. None the less it's not a bad design by any means just a humble opinion.
Canucks: This one I flat out LOVE!!! I realize some people hate the old school Nucks logo and color scheme but i have always been drawn to it, and having those colors and logo back but on newer style jersey....I think you could change up the striping a little bit but otherwise it's SWEEEEET! I think my initial reasoning for loving the old school Canucks colors and logo is due to my all time favorite player Cam Neely starting it all of in Vancouver. Even the yellow uni's with the GIANT-V Stripes.
Wild:Looks very nice, classy and very nice color placement.
Kings:As i said before, no disrespect to the talented artists (i am life long fan of creating art myself so thats why i sympathize with these designers and make that clear every time). That said I think it's a little too much white for a sport thats played on a back drop of white ice, i think it might be a little washed out.
Not really a fan of any of these, the Islanders one is pretty nice though. Can't see them coming up with anything much better than that. Lightning one isn't bad either, wouldn't mind something like that replacing the current alternate.
