I really like the one for the Pens. KISS - Keep It Simple Stupid. They of a style that the Pens have never had and have a nice vintage feel while keeping the Las Vegas Gold. I would like a shoulder yoke on the white jersey too, but it looks good the way it is. Maybe even get rid of the yoke on the black one? The idea of the circle around the "skating penguin" on the white jersey and not having it on the black is also a interesting touch. The only downfall would be that the home and away are an exact copy of the template of the 3rd jersey.
Two quick questions:
1. When is GFB getting done with his blues redesign?
2. When are we voting on a new batch of ICEHL division logos?
Don't mean to beat a dead horse with these Q's, but just wanted to know. You do great work Chris, really enjoy the site.
As for the this concept collage... I like the Red Wings jersey, but you could never change Detroit's look. But it's a nice redesign. Love the Canucks third, despise the Bruins yellow jersey with the "Bruins" wordmark on the left sleeve. Atlanta does that and it looks awful.
I love the idea of a green Canucks sweater, but I would not use the VC logo. I would go with the full-body version of Johnny Canuck, which would look much better. You can see it on the Canucks' helmets when they wear their thirds.
I would love to see the Bruins wear a yellow uniform, but with the B without the spoked wheel. It should be designed like the whites, but with the yellow and white reversed. I would even go with a matching yellow helmet. Yellow is an underrated colour and it needs to be utilized. Home yellow and road black go equally as well together as home white with road blue or red. The Canucks early 80s home uniforms would have been one of the nicest and most unique if they had kept the Stick 'n Rink crest instead of going with the Flying V design.
I dont know what to say about that hurricanes concept... i like the fact that it is symmetrical unlike their current logo but at the same time it looks like one of those brain teaser puzzles
Interesting Canucks concepts because for once, a designer did not put the Johnny Canuck logo with a full green jersey. But I think that it should only be the JC logo on the front, not the "VC" logo. Don't know if the gothic D combined with the winged wheel would work for Detroit. The black and white Pens concepts are beautiful. They have the colours that Penguins fans want and is classic, instead of their modernized mess. The Hurricanes one just makes me dizzy.....
I'm definitely diggin' the Blackhawks jersey, and I really like the dark & white Pens jerseys. In all honesty, you really can't mess with Detroit's jersey. It's just not possible. The Leafs... meh... Burn the 'Canes effort. The Bruins jerseys are just overkill after the last collage, try something different. Finally, Tampa's current jerseys are fine, I'm not thrilled with the options presented. How about an Avs or Rangers concept? Maybe an update on the Lady Liberty logo? Just a thought.
what program did you use to post the blackhawks helmet,pants,jersey and socks on?
All of these are incredible. I so wish I could see some of these on the ice. I'm trying to figure out my favorite of all of those. I'm a Torontonian, although undecided Leafs fan, and I can't tell you how refreshing it would be to see them in that sweater. Honestly, all of their jerseys right now look the same to me.
I've fallen absolutely in love with the Detroit logo with the Blackletter-style "D". Its brilliant, and leaves me so astounded that it has never been adopted by them.
I also love the Boston concept, more specifically the yellow jersey. A very nice touch with the large atheletic-style letters on the one sleeve. I think it really lets go of the sometimes monotonous symmetrical quality some jerseys have.
Aaaaaaand Vancouver. Wow. I love their current third, but I like this one better. Aesthetically, I prefer the V&C logo, to the V with the figure. However, conceptually speaking, I think the reference to an old logo would get better reception.

I LOVE the Hawks one. The canes one is a little iffy though...
I really like that Vancouver set minus the fact that the colour changes on the opposite side of the line on the arms. Awesome colours though.
That Penguins jersey is pretty good, but what I want to see is a primarily gold one. Another nice addition would be to add the blue back into the logo permantly, I think that would be great.
I really like the Blackhawk and Canuck concepts. The throwback look for the Blackhawks looks great, especially with the sand color. I really like the Johnny Canuck as the primary logo for the Canucks and Im a little iffy on the arms but I think I could get used to it.
I also want to say something about the collage format. I like that we can scroll through all the concepts but I hate that we have to view the pics at such a small size. Id really like to see some of the concepts at there actually size. While not the biggest deal it would be great if they could somehow be linked to a full sized pic. Otherwise great work Chris!
People: STOP TINKERING WITH THE RED WINGS' JERSEYS. You will never be able to do better than what they already have, full stop.

that blackhawks jersey is SICK!
Although it may sound strange, I think the Bruins third would look good in.....BROWN! Before you spew, brown is really a dark gold ( I think they wore brown long ago) A black, yellow-gold, and white shoulder yoke (similar to Rangers away design) and striping with black breezers, would give a unique, very vintage, and sharp look. Maybe someone could try a concept or two with the brown theme.
As much as I love traditional logos such as the Canadiens, the Blackhawks, and the Red Wings, those Detroit logos are some of the few concepts I have seen that capture the timelessness of a franchise. Detroit's team name and history make it hard for any designer to try to imagine what to create. You could say it is as hard as remaking the wheel (a winged one, of course). But, in my opinion, these logos come pretty damn close to professional.
Also, as many have said, love the Collages!
The 'Hawks jersey is absolutely incredible! It is a VAST improvement over the current third, especially since the only difference between the new and old thirds are the NHL collar shield. It marries the color scheme of the Winter Classic ( a jersey that I like the more I wear it), but brings it to a more traditional hockey design. And the red lace gives me inspiration to change the lacing on my WC jersey! Absolutely excellent!
I do like the Leafs jersey, although I don't think you should change the blue; that TLM blue is my favorite shade!
I love the effort folks put into this site, and I hope that some teams (like my beloved 'Hawks) are paying you some attention!
I suggested that Hawks jersey! And it looks beautiful! They should so make those there thirds! Except for the Pens and Nucks jerseys, the other ones are screw ups. stop fiddling with the wings jerseys!
