A day after posting it online, The News & Observer publishes in print the information they've obtained regarding the Hurricanes' third jersey unveiling from GM Jim Rutherford. Rutherford declines to comment on the design but says the debut of the new sweater was pushed back when the Rbk EDGE Uniform System was introduced.

The News & Observer learns that the Hurricanes will unveil their new alternate jersey on Sunday, September 21 at Caniac Carnival and that it will make its game debut on Monday, October 13 when Carolina faces Detroit. The jersey is expected to be black with the secondary flag-waving logo on the front.
