For the second time in a week we visit with the talented Nick Burton. And as it's Saturday, he has a couple of Winter Classic ideas to share. Up top, we have an orange option for the Islanders — who are expected to face the Rangers during the 2014 NHL Stadium Series. And down below, a white version of the Senators' current third jersey — for when they're hosted by the Canucks in the next Heritage Classic.

0416: A Tribute to the Silver Seven

Anyone remember the old "Silver Seven" — the Ottawa Senators of olde? Of course not. You weren't born yet. But that hasn't stopped John Elbertson from created this tribute to the century-old club. I'm kind of intrigued by how good the silver looks in place of the gold in the logo.

Our Winter Classic Weekend series has been handed over to Chance and Jake Waddell for the time being. The pair has produced retro style jerseys for all 30 NHL clubs in this year of the first canceled Winter Classic. Last week, Jeremy was first to comment so he got to pick the two teams we look at this week. And he wanted the Canadiens and Senators.

0296: The Sens' Perfect Collection

Wow! I think Justin Cox just solved the Ottawa Senators' uniforms for good. As far as I'm concerned, they would never need another jersey if they ever went with these. Outstanding work here.

We've seen a lot of incredible Ottawa Senators concepts grace this pages and this one definitely joins that company. Scott Markiewicz has assembled a fantastic design that captures the history of this team and the history of its predecessor while not looking old and stale. Bravo!

Andrew read through your comments and made some revisions to his Senators concept.

Colin M, Steve, Derek, Louie and Eaman12 either wanted to see brighter reds or a true white. So, here's both! Colin M, Derek, Garth, and Eaman12 didn't really like the use of the 'O' logo and I think I can see why. The circular Senator Head is much more strong and doesn't get mistaken for a Zero. I also thickened up my notoriously thin stripes and as for the lettering, I'm just using the Senators current font. Can't change that one... For those of you who embraced/defended the 'Ancient' golds (Jon93, Louie), Thank you! And to the rest, thanks for helping me try to fix the Sens!
