0193: No Escaping Black and Silver

Ever since the Lightning unveiled their new logo, I've seen countless concepts that attempt to "fix" it by adding back the black and silver in some way. Usually, the attempts are terrible. But this one by Justin Cox really made me take a second look. Granted, it's a little more cartoonish-looking than Tampa Bay's primary mark, but it could certainly work. What do you guys think of this set? As a Lightning fan, I like it a lot.

0192: Another RCAF Third for the Jets

Today we get a couple of RCAF-inspired alternate jersey for the Winnipeg Jets jerseys from Jeff Ingalls. Definitely could see the Jets in these someday soon.

0191: Blackhawks Re-Bourne

It's been a while since we last saw an entry into the Re-Bourne series by Andrew Bourne. We pick it up with a very stripped-down set of jerseys for the Chicago Blackhawks. Thoughts?

Ask any hockey fan to name the top five best jerseys in the league. I bet Chicago will be on every list. Chicago has a classic style and is the class of the league. It is very hard to even try to improve their style, but I took a whack at it with a giant stick called, 'history'.

0190: San Francisco Sunday, Part 4

We're continuing the San Francisco Sundays series of potential secondary logos for the ECHL's new franchise, the Bulls. We start with Antonio Calisto's attempt. It's pretty sharp but it does lack any representation of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Alan Moore produced a series of Giants-style logos with horns protruding out of them.

And Ryan Muraro didn't just intertwine the S and F together but also with the Golden Gate Bridge. Not a bad look, but maybe a little less with the gradients. But it does go well with the team's existing primary logo.

0189: Toronto's Winter Classic Options

The Toronto Maple Leafs are the subject of this Winter Classic Weekend. Anthony Ruggiero has put together a couple of ideas. And for what it's worth, he actually sent in these long before Howard Berger said the Leafs would be using this 1927 crest.

0188: Oakland Freak Out

It started innocently enough. John J. Woods was designing this new sweater for the Oakland Seals when he suddenly saw new potential in that old logo. And that's where the freak out angle comes in.

0187: Hamilton Revisited

This week, we're looking back at teams that have disappeared from the NHL over the years. Nick Burton put together this concept for the Hamilton Tigers of yesteryear. It'd look like a team of golden refs!
