0386: The Angry Dragons

Our Beer League Sundays series picks up today in Brampton, Ontario with the Angry Dragons! Jeremy Motley writes in with a look at how his team came to life.

Just was catching up with the blog today. I saw the Eskimo Brothers post on the concept page and thought I'd throw another beer league concept that turned real your way. My team is called the Angry Dragons. It started with a logo done for fun and turned into a reality thanks to a sponsorship from one of the guy's employers. Hope you like it!

Jeremy also passed along this photo of the uniform.

Love the logo. Could be used on a professional team!

Thanks for the post Chris!
I should say all credit for making the logo does not belong to me, sorry if that was misleading.
A member of the Chris Creamer Sports Logo Community designed the logo for us, his user name is missouri tigers.
I apologize that I do not know his real name.

Absolutely agree that this is a well-designed crest. I love the look of the asymmetrical shield, and the fact that the Dragon's head breaks through the confines of the shield is also a solid design plus. There isn't a single negative I can think of. It has the right combination of bold graphic lines and a slight comic twinge to it without it being silly or downright ugly, along the same lines as the current Hershey Bears crest. If this crest was put into Tackle Twill and embroidery, it would look even BETTER (I know, too cost-prohibitive for the company sponsor to justify...) Kudos to Missouri Tigers for a winner, and yay for Jeremy for getting a truly unique sweater for his beer league team!

I think it would have been nice to see some "Angry snarling teeth" in there as well...
