0223: Symmetrical Freak Out
It almost doesn't need words. Geil S. seems to be imagining what the Red Wings logo might look like if it sat next to a mirror. And being posted on a Freak Out Friday isn't to say this is a bad logo. Just very, very different.

Would be a great shoulder patch on a future third or winter classic jersey. Can't see it on the front of a sweater. Cool concept though.

I mean change the Red Wing set too much or at all and you'll be crucified BUT if you were so bold this wouldn't be a bad add.

Not bad. The better thing about the original logo is with the wing being on one side of the wheel, it suggests motion. Tje sideways wheel between two wings doesn't provide that effect. Now, change the perspective of the wheel to a frontal or 3/4 view - something akin to the Ohio State Highway Patrol logo (sorry, Michiganders, it's just an example) - then that would certainly be something.
As a life long die-hard Red Wings fanatic I would NEVER buy a jersey with that anywhere on it. Sorry.
I like it. Smooth out those feathers and you have a winner.
After looking at this, I actually like it! Maybe it'd be cool if the large white space on the wheel read "Detroit Red Wings Hockey Club," or something?
