0085: Revising '90s Vancouver

The Vancouver Canucks are starring on the back half of this Retro Weekend. That's mainly because today is my wife's birthday and she likes the Canucks and Cory Schneider. And this is the only way I'll ever get her to look at the site. As luck would have it, Jared Pozzobon has just the ticket. So happy birthday to her! To the rest of you, how do you like this modernization of a very 1990s Canucks jersey?

Why isn't the back number gold? The numbers on the shoulders are gold and they look great. I think the number font should also be changed to the font the Canucks used in the ninety's. Also get rid of the piping. Piping on jerseys is kinda out of style now and just doesn't work. With some modifications this jersey could really look great.

I like this and it has some potential, but just take away the piping and arm pits. I still wouldn't want the Canucks in anything other than blue and green right now though.

I dislike the jersey but gave it five stars for your wife's birthday, haha. Trying to explain a strange hobby to my girlfriend of four years, lemme know what you guys have used hahah.

this is definately my redemption post from a somewhat weak Jets concept.

The logo and colors on the jersey are just too 80's/90's.

Definitely Vancouver... no mistaking that and actually not bad... I just can't shake the image of the "Vancouver Plates of Spaghetti"

I like the usage of the current Canucks font with the old colours - it's pretty sharp, IMO. But I agree with Torin - take away the piping and arm pits.

I played with the '94 jerseys on NHL12 the other day. They looked great. I prefer them to this version.
